Terms and Conditions

Times
Luncheon functions commence from 12:00pm and conclude by 5:00pm
Evening functions commence from 6:00pm and conclude by 12 midnight (Sun - Thurs) and by 1:00am Fri & Sat.
Evening functions in the Lounge Bar on Friday / Saturday commence from 7:30pm.

Menu
Your choice of menu, including special requests eg; vegetarians, is required two weeks prior to your function. Children's 2 course meals are available at a cost of $9.90 per person (3 - 12 years).
Groups of 20 or more guests are required to select from our range of set menu options, or we are happy to assist in selecting a limited menu option.
During the festive season (Monday November 6th - Sunday December 24th), groups are required to select from our Christmas menu options.
For functions held during the festive period, your choice of menu is required four weeks prior to your function.
Due to seasonal availability, vegetarian options are available on application and in most cases will not be included as a main course selection when finalising menu's.

Beverages
The Daniel O'Connell Hotel showcases an extensive wine selection and we would be happy to assist you in selecting a full range of beverages to compliment your function and menu selection.
Beverages served during a function are on a consumption basis or package price.
Beverages are to be pre-selected four weeks prior to your function.

Minimum Charge
For groups wishing to exclusively book-out a specific room within The Daniel O'Connell Hotel a minimum charge may apply. The minimum charge is inclusive of the room hire fee, while ensuring your group the exclusive use of that room for the service period booked. If the minimum charge is not achieved a room hire fee will be applied.

Cancellation
In the unfortunate event that a confirmed booking is cancelled less than six weeks prior to the event, the deposit is non-refundable unless The Daniel O'Connell Hotel is able to fully re-book that room with another party. Deposits for events to be held in November and December will not be refunded with less than 10 weeks notice.

Deposit
Confirmation of your booking must be made in writing within 14 days of the original reservation accompanied by a non-refundable deposit equal to the room hire fee.
For smaller group reservations in the Peppertree Restaurant or courtyard a non-refundable deposit of $10 per head is required.
The deposit figure will be deducted from your final account at the completion of your function, less any discrepancies in final numbers (see below)
Any tentative bookings will automatically lapse after the fourteen-day period.

Final Numbers
We require confirmation of exact final numbers three days prior to your function. This will also be the minimum number of meals for which you will be charged, regardless of a reduced number of guests at your actual function. Please be careful to note this, as there are no exceptions.

Payment
The balance must be settled in full prior to the day of your function, unless alternative arrangements have been made with management.
A single itemised account will be issued, as we do not offer individual split accounts or individual payment for groups
Payment may be made by any of the following options:
Cash
Company / Bank Cheque
Credit Card (Amex, Diners, Visa, Mastercard or Bankcard)
Direct Debit

Damage or Loss of Goods
The Daniel O'Connell Hotel does not accept responsibility for the damage or loss of goods left on the premises before, during or after a function. The client is financially responsible for any damage sustained to property before, during or after the function by the client's guests or by outside contractors engaged by the client.

Price Adjustments
All prices quoted on Menus / Wine lists are based on current costs. Quotes given in the time leading up to your function are estimates only and may be subject to change at the discretion of management in order to meet rises in costs. All prices listed include GST.
